Four different, efficient trapping methods
The way mosquitoes prey is based on the exact sense of smell of insects, and they target humans specifically based on the carbon dioxide, heat, and light secreted. Mosquito Zapper traps take advantage of these same ways when attracting insects to the trap.
Carbon dioxide
The trap mimics a person’s exhalation by releasing carbon dioxide around them. To create this effect, a bottle of Co2, such as that used to carbonate water, is utilized. One bottle lasts about a couple of weeks.
Heat
The Booster Plus+ trap has a resistor that gcncratcs heat to mimic the heat of the human body. lnsects utilize heat in navigation, especially in the evening.
Ultraviolet light
The UV light produced by the device acts as an attractant, especially in the evening. insects cannot resist the frequency of UV light but instinctively seek light.
Scented cartridge
The Octenol enhancer in the scented cartridge strengthens the effect of carbon dioxide and further improves the efficiency of the trap.
